short summary ► Lavi is the Bookman's apprentice, acting as a spectator wherever he may go in order to record the secret history without bias, remaining unattached and distanced from his new companions under the identity "Lavi," exorcist of the Black Order. His mission is much easier in theory. More and more, he is is incapable of seperating his duty as Bookman, his past selves, and his current identity as "Lavi."

powers & skills ► Lavi is a Bookman in training and an exorcist, meaning he possesses several powers and abilities.

eidetic memory | Both naturally intelligent and highly trained, Lavi has a photographic memory. He identifies one real key from hundreds of counterfeits in minutes only using his one eye and provides comprehensive details of past occurrences.
education | As a Bookman's apprentice, Lavi has a vast arrange of general knowledge.
medicine | He has been formally taught and practiced first aid as well as specific medicinal remedies.
emotional distancing/acting | In general, his distancing and acting techniques are successful, with him only recently encountering difficulties and succumbing to emotional outbursts.
magic mysterious or maybe actually just normal right eye ( ? ) | His eye is not injured but rather the "key" reason he was selected as Bookman, implied to have some significant ability. At this stage, it will not be addressed in game until further information is supplied in canon.
innocence compatible | Innocence is known as the "Crystal of God," the only substance capable of defeating and cleansing Akuma (demons created by someone calling their loved one's soul back from the dead) in the form of weapons wielded by Accommodators (the select few compatible with Innocence). Lavi is an Accommodator, possessing an equipment type Innocence called "Iron Hammer," a size-shifting hammer capable of physical and elemental attacks. To Lavi, it feels weightless even when massive. The elemental attacks revealed so far are as follows:

FIRE STAMP | HELLFIRE AND ASH. This results in a fiery burst in the form of a snake.
HEAVEN STAMP | VIOLENT THUNDER, WHIRLING SKIES. This attack affects the skies, stirring up storms.
WOOD STAMP | SPINNING DIST OF HEAVEN AND EARTH. This controls natural, directing the wind.
COMBO STAMP | TERRIBLE LIGHTNING OF HEAVEN. Lavi is capable of combining steals. So far, he has combined FIRE and HEAVEN to augment the fire snake with iron and create a fiery shield of the resulting substance.

hand-to-hand combat | Trained by the Bookman Clan and the Black Order, his martial arts and weaponry skills are rated 4/5, considered very useful in battle. He has particular competence with his hammer but also displays skill with improvised weaponry, including daggers and staffs. It is also noted in companion books that he is highly flexible, rated 5/5 for flexibility ( wink wink ).
